Frankfurter Judaskuss 1

The “Frankfurt Judas Kiss” performance took place at the opening of the exhibition “deutschemalereizweitausenddrei” (German Painting Two Thousand Three) at the Frankfurt Kunstverein in 2003. Two male semi-nudes posed as models in the Kunstverein’s window. Their reflection in the window at night was painted. Five days before the opening, only the model situation was visible from the outside, not what was being painted. After the opening, the motif became apparent from within. Following the opening, the resulting paintings and the film about the performance, produced in parallel in collaboration with Martin Kreyssig, were shown in the exhibition.
